Andana Foods is a family-run success story, built on passion and perseverance. In 1980, our founder, Lefteris Panayiotis, embarked on a journey selling groceries from his car. This dedication blossomed into a thriving “man-in-a-van” operation, forging relationships with customers that endure to this day.
Lefteris’ vision led him to focus on cakes, culminating in a pivotal moment during a visit to Spain. There, he discovered Dulcesol products and, recognising their potential, contacted the factory directly. This bold move wouldn’t have been possible without the invaluable support of his wife, Aurelia. Her Spanish heritage bridged the communication gap, paving the way for Lefteris to secure the deal that made him the first to export Dulcesol products and the sole distributor for the brand in the UK.
Lefteris’ legacy lives on. While he remains involved in the business, the day-to-day operations are now entrusted to his children, grandchildren, and other family members. Together, they’ve transformed the one-man operation into a well-respected wholesaler serving hundreds of distributors across the UK.
